I’m currently a recruiting English teacher for a large and highly successful Outstanding secondary school in Harrogate.

The school has a record of considerable academic success as well as consistently positive progress at GCSE and A level. The School place great emphasis on students leadership, an unparalleled extra- curricular programme and student progression to their next steps.

The position starts in January2023 – July 2023, 4 days a week Tuesday – Friday.

My client is looking for qualified or newly qualified English teacher.

  •  To provide learning experiences that inspire and excite all students to achieve their full potential
  • Have high expectations of all students in terms of academic success and behaviour
  • Use new technologies and ideas to support learning effectively.
  • Use assessment to inform learning and raise achievement.
  • Be reflective and seek to improve and learn

About You

  • Degree in English or English study and history or QTS qualification.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skill is a must.
  • Knowledge across different frameworks.
  • Must come across as calm, professional and a strong behaviour management technique.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Have a positive attitude to working with young people and their families.
  • Be reflective and seek to improve and learn.
  • Contribute to improving the school as a whole
  • Model high standards in terms of behaviour and appearance
  • Ensure school rules are enforced consistently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
