What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering high-quality English teaching across KS3, KS4, and with a strong focus on KS5

  • Promoting student engagement and enthusiasm for English

  • Supporting high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and personal development

  • Contributing to departmental development, assessment practices, and curriculum improvement

  • Supporting subject-related enrichment, trips, and wider school activities

  • Acting as a form tutor and contributing to PSHE as part of the pastoral team

We’d Love to Hear From You If You:

  • Hold UK QTS in Secondary English

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • Understand how effective teaching drives pupil progress

  • Are confident using data to inform teaching and learning

  • Can plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons

  • Are able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities

  • Have strong communication skills and build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

  • Are well organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively

  • Are confident using ICT in daily classroom practice
