The role

We are working with a large, well-resourced secondary school to recruit an English Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence, literacy development, and engagement across KS3–KS5.

This role is ideal for a confident practitioner who can deliver dynamic, challenging, and inclusive lessons in English Language and Literature.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities depending on experience

  • Collaborate with the English department and pastoral teams

The ideal candidate

  • QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature

  • Confident classroom management skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and professional
