We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough seeking an English teacher to join their department. The team is supportive, organised, and focused on consistency and student progress.

This role suits an ECT or experienced English teacher looking for a positive, well-run school.

What you’ll be doing

  • Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4

  • Supporting students with reading, writing, and exam techniques

  • Creating a calm, purposeful classroom environment

  • Sharing ideas and resources within a collaborative department

What we’re looking for

  • UK QTS or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of English curriculum

  • Clear behaviour management and communication skills

  • A passionate, student-focused approach
