Our schools mainly come to us with long-term roles (e.g. paternity and maternity cover), which can often lead to permanent positions, but day-to-day emergency cover also allows you to build relationships and find the right school for you.
Whether you’re an ECT building your CV or an experienced teacher seeking flexible work across varied settings, this role allows you to teach in schools that fit your availability and location. Our educators work anywhere between 2–5 days per week and often secure long-term roles within a few weeks. Work with Protocol Education can remain flexible and day-to-day, or help you explore options before stepping into your ideal long-term role.
What the Role Involves
You’ll deliver pre-planned English lessons that keep students engaged and focused. The role includes:

Teaching pre-set English lessons across KS3–KS4

Building students’ confidence in reading, writing and analysis

Managing behaviour with positivity and consistency

Supporting learners during tasks and explaining key concepts
-
Collecting completed work and providing feedback to staff
-
Adapting confidently to different groups and routines
