English Teacher

Location: Telford
Job Type: Supply Teaching
Industry: Secondary Teacher
Reference: 311021308
Salary: £140 - 220 per day
Job Published: about 4 hours ago

We’re working closely with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s ready to welcome a passionate English Teacher into its team.

This is a school that truly feels like a community. Staff and students are known, valued, and supported, and there’s a shared commitment to helping every individual thrive. Learning here goes well beyond exam results. Creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth sit at the heart of everyday school life.

High standards are important, but never at the expense of care. Students are encouraged to think independently, express themselves with confidence, and develop strong values such as respect, empathy, and responsibility. The school plays an active role in its local community, helping young people see themselves as positive contributors, not just learners in a classroom.

English is taught as a living subject, one that sparks curiosity, invites discussion, and helps students find their voice. Lessons are engaging, thoughtful, and rooted in the belief that language and literature can open doors, build confidence, and shape futures.

Strong relationships create a calm, respectful environment where pupils feel safe to take risks, share ideas, and aim high. Staff work collaboratively, supporting one another and sharing a clear sense of purpose, guided by a vision of achievement through caring.

Why this role stands out

Ambition here feels motivating, not overwhelming. There’s a genuine focus on helping young people discover what they’re good at, both in English lessons and beyond the classroom. Teachers are trusted to teach creatively, reflect on their practice, and grow professionally.
