Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and other methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching methods.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
- Valid teaching certification.
Education:

Experience:
Previous experience teaching English at a secondary school level preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of the English language and literature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Organisational skills to effectively plan and manage classroom activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in English or related field.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Working Conditions:
The English Teacher will work in a classroom setting within a secondary school in Brentwood, Essex. The role involves full-time hours during standard school hours, with additional time required for lesson planning, grading, and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
