Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Valid DBS check

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching English to students of varying abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the English language, literature, and grammar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in English or Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Additional teaching certifications or specialisations

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Regular working hours with occasional evenings and weekends for meetings or events
  • Collaboration with other teaching staff and school administration

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
