Protocol Education are partnered with a supportive, welcoming BS3 Secondary School to help them find talented English students and graduates to work as Unqualified Teachers / Cover Supervisors, either full or part-time, and become part of the wider school community.

This role is a brilliant opportunity for anyone studying or graduating in English, Literature, Creative Writing or a related subject who wants hands-on classroom experience in a secondary school.

In this role, you’ll step in for absent teachers, primarily covering English lessons, while also being happy to support across other subjects when required. All lessons are pre-planned, so your focus is on managing the classroom and guiding pupils through set tasks. You’ll be a calm, warm and encouraging presence, while also being clear, authoritative and consistent.

No teaching qualifications or school experience are needed. If you’re reliable, punctual and confident communicating with young people, we’ll provide all training for free.

The School

This is a well-regarded BS3 secondary school with a strong sense of community and belonging. Students are known, supported and encouraged to achieve their best, and staff work together to create a respectful, positive culture.

The school values respect, determination, preparedness for learning and clear expectations. Learning is taken seriously, with a broad, balanced curriculum designed by subject specialists who value both creativity and academic rigour.

Behaviour expectations are clear and well embedded, helping maximise learning time and ensuring cover staff feel supported from day one.

The school is keen to find reliable, punctual Unqualified Teachers who want to become part of the school community, not just drop in and out.
