As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support reading, writing, and literacy development within lessons and intervention settings, working closely with English teachers to support pupil progress.
Secondary schools throughout the North East are seeking an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS3 and KS4 English. This English Graduate Teaching Assistant role is suitable for graduates with a degree in English, literature, or a related subject.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting English lessons and literacy-focused activities
- Working with pupils on reading comprehension and written work
- Delivering small-group or one-to-one literacy interventions
- Supporting exam preparation and coursework tasks
- Assisting English department staff as required
Requirements:
- A degree related to English, literature, or humanities
- Experience supporting young people is preferred but not essential
- An interest in English education or future teacher training
This English Graduate Teaching Assistant role provides practical experience within a secondary English department.
