Support Staff Wanted – Enhanced Learning Provisions, Southwark

Do you have a calm head, a kind heart, and a knack for helping young people feel safe and understood? We’d love to hear from you.

We’re working with a number of welcoming schools across Southwark who are looking for support staff to join their Enhanced Learning Provisions. These settings support pupils who need a little extra care, structure, and encouragement to thrive at school.

This isn’t about standing at the side of the classroom. It’s about being a steady presence, building trust, and helping pupils find their feet.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN teams to keep days calm and purposeful
  • Helping young people regulate emotions, stay engaged, and feel understood
  • Creating a safe, supportive space where progress feels possible

We’re looking for people who

  • Are patient, resilient, and genuinely care about young people
  • Have experience in schools, SEND, youth work, care, or similar settings, or are keen to learn
  • Stay calm under pressure and don’t take tricky moments personally
  • Want to make a real difference, even on the challenging days

What you’ll get

  • Roles in supportive schools that value their support staff
  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella faff
  • FREE access to our CPD Academy, including SEND and behaviour training
  • A friendly, local consultant who actually listens
  • Opportunities for long-term and ongoing work

Thrive trained? Brilliant.
Not yet? No problem. We offer FREE Thrive training, which schools love and which gives you extra tools to support emotional wellbeing in the classroom.

If you’re looking for meaningful work where your presence really matters, this could be the role for you.
