We are working closely with a well-established two-form entry primary school in Gateshead with approximately 360 pupils. The school has a strong record of supporting Early Career Teachers, with experienced year group leads and a clear induction structure already in place. Due to staffing movement, they are looking to appoint an ECT into a Year 3 class, initially on a flexible basis, with the clear intention of reviewing for a full-time role.
The Headteacher is experienced in mentoring new teachers and ensures regular check-ins, manageable expectations, and shared planning support.
The Role:

Teaching a Year 3 class with parallel teacher support

Planning and delivering lessons with guidance from the year group lead

Developing classroom management with mentoring
