Early Years Practitioner/Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Location: Chelmsford

Position: Full-Time

Salary: £85-£90 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Practitioner/Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team in Chelmsford. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality support and care to early years students.

- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.

- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including those who are non-verbal.

- Manage and support students with compulsive food behaviours.

- Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring the dignity and respect of each student.

- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

- Proven experience working with early years students, particularly those with ASD.

- Experience supporting non-verbal students and understanding of alternative communication methods.

- Familiarity with managing compulsive food behaviours in young children.

- Ability to perform personal care tasks sensitively and appropriately.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
