Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Assess and track children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents and carers
  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes the holistic development of each child
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the overall well-being and educational needs of the children
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on each child's learning and development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Experience working with young children aged 3-5 years

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in an Early Years setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:

  • Full-Time position, working Monday to Friday
  • Contract role based in Lewisham, Greater London

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
