The Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically and perform with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Teach Drama across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, exploring a wide range of practitioners, playtexts, and theatrical styles.

  • Creative Direction: Contribute to the school’s rich extra-curricular program, including directing school plays and leading lunchtime drama clubs.

  • Inclusive Pedagogy: Use Drama as a tool to build students' oracy, empathy, and self-esteem across all ability levels.

  • Academic Excellence: Support students in achieving top-tier results in written and practical examinations.

Who We Are Looking For?

Requirement Essential Criteria
Qualifications QTS / QTLS and a degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related performing arts discipline.
Expertise Strong knowledge of key practitioners (e.g., Stanislavski, Brecht, Artaud) and contemporary theater.
Track Record Experience teaching (or training to teach) Drama at KS3 and KS4 with a focus on high student engagement.
Mindset An energetic and collaborative professional who is eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.
