Newly on the lookout for a Teacher of Drama to now join their well-established Performing Arts department, delivering lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Your Expertise and enthusiasm should inspire a love for performing arts, allowing students to express their creativity, build confidence and develop valuable life skills.
By delivering engaging and interactive lessons, you will be encouraged to use a variety of teaching methods, practical activities, and performance opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Encourage students to develop their acting skills, express themselves confidently, and explore their artistic potential.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and a passion for drama.
- Support students in their preparation for performances, auditions, and exams, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
- A passion for drama education and a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience in directing and organising school productions would be advantageous.
