Job Duties:

  • Assist drama teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Support students in their learning and development of drama skills
  • Help with the organisation of drama productions and events
  • Provide feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their performance
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and materials for drama activities
  • Supervise students during drama classes and rehearsals

Required Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Drama or a related field
  • Experience working with children or young adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for drama and performing arts

Education:

Degree in Drama or a related field

Experience:

Experience working with children or young adults

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of drama techniques and practises
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching assistant experience in an educational setting
  • Additional qualifications in education or drama

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments for events
  • Collaborative work with teaching staff and students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
