Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher
Location: Enfield

Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative and comprehensive D&T curriculum that engage students and foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Lead dynamic and interactive D&T lessons, providing students with opportunities for practical application of design principles and technical skills.
  • Implement project-based learning experiences that allow students to design, create, and evaluate their own products, incorporating elements of engineering, manufacturing, and craftsmanship.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment in the D&T classroom, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, industry professionals, and community partners to enrich the D&T curriculum with real-world applications and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design & technology, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification/license
  • Experience teaching DT at KS3-KS5
  • Strong knowledge of the DT
  • Proficient in a variety of design software, tools, and equipment relevant to D&T, such as CAD/CAM software, 3D printers, laser cutters, and woodworking machinery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
  • Is a patient and approachable individual.
  • Has positive communication skills.
  • Has a passionate for student development.
  • Ideally experience in a school setting( Not mandatory)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
