DESIGN TECHNOLOGY AND ART TECHNICIAN

I am recruiting an individual who will provide technical and curriculum support services to the Design Technology and Art Curriculum Team, holds the ability to work in an organised /methodical manner & is self-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines positively with staff and students

The successful candidate will:

have specialist skills in product design

have successful experience of working with young people

have a good working knowledge of a range of specialist areas within Design Technology

have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements

be able to plan effective activities for students at risk of underachieving

have an excellent standard of verbal communication, able to convey advice clearly and concisely

have a good standard of written communication, able to write fluently and concisely with attention to detail

set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students

have good time management skills, together with a methodical and organised approach to work in order to plan and

organise yourself and others

have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful working relationships

 be personally committed to developing a distinctive and inclusive ethos in the School

 be able to relate to students, staff, parents/carers and visitors in a positive and constructive way

be helpful, friendly, approachable and professional at all times in dealing with people

possess integrity, optimism, resilience, calmness and a sense of proportion

 have the ability to display a calm, tactful and responsible attitude

 have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to change within the working environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
