Protocol Education is collaborating with a secondary school in search of an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced educator to join their department.

The successful candidate will primarily teach dance, with the opportunity to support the department in other sports activities.

Dance lessons will encompass various genres including Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Choreography, Jazz, Tap, and Modern dance.

This thriving mainstream secondary school offers GCSE Dance and PE, supporting Key Stage 3-4 students with a diverse curriculum.

With an 'Outstanding' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection, this school is situated in the heart of Leytonstone, conveniently located near the A112 with strong public transportation links.

 

Requirements:

  • ECT qualification or equivalent Ability to inspire and develop young students both academically and vocationally
  • Comprehensive knowledge across all subject areas Proficiency in choreographing across different styles and techniques
  • Familiarity with assessment procedures related to the specialist area

 

Main Responsibilities as a Dance Teacher:

  • Create dance pieces for various performances
  • Supervise the use and maintenance of designated Dance rooms
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
  • Develop comprehensive schemes of work for all Key Stages
  • Enforce school discipline policies effectively and consistently
