Position Title: Design & Technology/Art Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology (D&T) and Art for students
  • Nurture a supportive and creative learning environment to encourage innovation
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Design & Technology, Art, or a related field
  • Experience teaching D&T and/or Art in a secondary school setting

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of the national curriculum for D&T and Art
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills for effective lesson planning and management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or a relevant subject area
  • Experience with project-based learning and creative teaching methods
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students

Working Conditions:

This role involves collaborating with students and colleagues in a secondary school environment. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional participation in school events and meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
