Job Description

Protocol Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants from creative backgrounds such as art, music, or performing arts to work in a supportive primary special needs school in Wandsworth.

This school is looking for teaching assistants who can apply their creative skills in lessons and one-to-one sessions, encouraging engagement and helping students access learning in a diverse and inspiring way.

Experience is useful but not essential, what matters most is passion for education and comfort working with special needs. The school invests in its staff and provides on-site training throughout the role.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work in a class of 6–8 students, supporting them academically and socially.
  • Follow a tailored curriculum and assist in lessons such as music, art, cooking, and core subjects like numeracy & literacy.
  • Support students with a range of needs including speech & language difficulties, mild autism, physical disabilities, and learning challenges.

The Role

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
