About the Role
Are you hands-on, patient, and a little bit creative? We’re looking for a Creative Teaching Assistant to join a lively, inclusive secondary school in North Tyneside. You’ll be supporting students across the school’s creative department, which includes Design Technology, Food Technology, Art, Hair & Beauty, and Construction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical learning and wants to help young people develop confidence, independence, and employable skills through creativity.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students in creative, practical lessons such as DT, Art, Construction, Food Tech, and Hair & Beauty

Helping pupils with SEND and additional needs engage confidently in hands-on activities

Encouraging safe working habits and assisting with equipment setup and organisation

Providing one-to-one or small group support to boost focus and motivation

Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to adapt learning to each student’s needs

Experience supporting pupils in secondary or SEND settings (essential)

A calm, adaptable approach and enthusiasm for practical subjects
