Creative Learning Support Assistants

Location: Newham

Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning support assistant of creative background, to support in a mainstream school in Newham.

Your role will be working in the special provision class with children with ASD, MLD and Speech and Language disorders.

Our partner school in Newham is looking for energetic, enthusiastic and passionate educators who want to progress in their careers as educators.

The successful candidate will be able to think outside the box and connect with learners on an individual level.

Graduates with no experience but who are looking to get into education are invited to apply.

You will be required to aid in the daily activities of the classroom and use your creative background to uniquely support the SEND children in a way only you can. You will provide 1:1 support and create a positive atmosphere. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build strong relationships and rapport with individual children is important.

The ideal candidate will have-

  • Experience working with SEND/ Experience working with Children
  • Ability to commute to Newham
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and creating an environment in which the students can improve their studies.
  • The ability to use your creative nature to engage students, improve confidence, and positively influence a fun and supportive learning process.

Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school environment, but rather working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, or after school clubs to name a few.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
