We are currently working with a large and vibrant Primary school close to West Drayton to recruit a number of Special Educational Learning Support Assistants to work with groups of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the school.

What they have in common is a passion for working with children with SEND, providing them with an engaging, fun and supportive learning environment where they can thrive.

Your role will be to support children throughout the day including lunch in order to support pupils to develop their social communication, co-operation and play skills. social and emotional development, speech and language skills and motor skills development sometimes under the guidance of specialist agencies.

You will help to provide a range of interventions and to plan (under guidance from specialists), resource, deliver, monitor and review progress for children with SEND on individual /group programmes or support plans within the classroom.

You will be required to take responsibility for individuals / groups of children with identified areas of need; providing interventions as appropriate to meet the needs of the school and to support the children in class with their work as directed.

You will need to have energy and enthusiasm as well as a good sense of humour and resilience and a good command of Maths and English to national curriculum standard for EYFS-KS2.

We are looking for those with experience of working with children from 3 – 11 in an educational or working with children with learning and behavioural difficulties, or creative graduates, Actors who have experience of working with children.

This role is full time 8:30-4 Term time only, with the opportunity to go onto a permanent contract or work on a flexible supply contract.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
