Creative graduates required

We are recruiting for ambitious and enthusiastic graduates from creative backgrounds like Drama, Art and Music to work with children with special educational needs in secondary schools throughout Newcastle. You will be working as a teaching assistant to support children in their day-to-day learning and routines.

At times you may follow and deliver individualised training programs, working together within  a Learning support team to help  manage behaviours and ensure engagement. You will support children in a range of lessons including English and Maths.

The role would be suitable for those with creative backgrounds who are keen to use their transferable skills in a new setting. You may be able to engage children with the use of art and music or support emotional literacy through your previous drama training.

Roles are available immediately. To be considered for this type of role you must be available Monday – Friday during term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
