Job Duties:
- Assist the primary teacher in planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance in the classroom.
- Help create and adapt teaching materials to suit the individual needs of SEN students.
- Support students with their social and emotional development, promoting a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to assess student progress and set learning goals.
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
- Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Education:
Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN teaching strategies and techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in SEN education.
- First Aid training.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom environment with SEN students. The ability to adapt to changing situations and support the diverse needs of students is essential. The position may require occasional additional hours to attend meetings or training sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
