About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and confident Turkish-speaking Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic secondary school in Enfield.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with their work. Your ability to communicate effectively in Turkish and English will also help support our Turkish-speaking pupils, promoting inclusion and understanding within our diverse school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and manage student behaviour effectively.

  • Support Turkish-speaking students to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.

  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all pupils.

  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to wider school life where needed.

Person Specification

  • Fluent in Turkish and English (spoken and written).

  • Confident and professional classroom presence.

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school or educational setting.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage behaviour positively and promote a respectful learning environment.

  • Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about education.
