We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Telford this January.

This is a school that places its community at the heart of everything it does, a place where every student is supported to achieve their very best, no matter their starting point. With a mission to raise aspirations and inspire ambition, it offers a nurturing and inclusive environment where staff and students thrive together.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone with classroom experience or an interest in teaching to make a real difference — and to gain valuable school-based experience along the way.

The role:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring set work is completed

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students with their learning and encouraging participation

  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including House and enrichment activities

The school offers:

  • A warm, community-minded culture where everyone is valued

  • Clear routines and strong leadership support

  • Opportunities for development and training

  • A rich extra-curricular and pastoral programme that builds confidence and teamwork

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young people (in education, youth work, or mentoring)

  • A calm, professional approach and excellent communication skills

  • Confidence in managing a classroom environment

  • A passion for helping students succeed
