Your Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor

You’ll supervise classes across different subjects, guiding pupils through the work that’s already been planned by the teacher. There’s no need to mark or plan lessons, just a clear, steady presence and the confidence to keep the class engaged.

Your role helps maintain routine for pupils, supports behaviour expectations and ensures learning continues without disruption.

Your key tasks as a Cover Supervisor

  • Leading lessons using pre-set work
  • Supporting pupils to stay focused and complete tasks
  • Managing behaviour in a positive, consistent way
  • Communicating with staff about the classes you’ve covered
  • Building rapport with pupils across different year groups

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
