Role: Cover Supervisor

Contract: Permanent, 39 weeks per year
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term time plus inset days
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Salary: Scale 6, Point 13 £29,064 – Point 17 £31,022 FTE (Actual Salary £21,886 – £23,360)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to supervise class groups during short-term staff absences.

In this role, you will follow lesson plans provided by teachers, maintain good order in the classroom, and address general student queries. When cover is not required, you will provide support to other departments as needed.

Key qualities for success:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to the welfare and education of young people

  • Ability to act as a positive role model, maintaining high expectations for conduct and behaviour

  • No requirement for qualified teacher status, though applications from qualified teachers are welcome

  • Experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential as full training and induction will be provided
