Protocol Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey. The school is seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers who are planning to pursue PGCE or Schools Direct training, offering hands-on experience managing classrooms and supporting students across the secondary curriculum.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring learning continues effectively and behaviour remains positive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Maintaining classroom discipline in line with school policies

  • Creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

  • Encouraging student participation and focus

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

No lesson planning, marking, or preparation required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification (preferred) or strong A-levels

  • Experience working with children or young people (e.g. tutoring, youth work, coaching, volunteering)

  • Confidence, resilience, and strong classroom presence

  • Right to work in the UK

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
