Protocol Education is recruiting on behalf of a high-performing, Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield. The school is seeking a proactive and resilient Cover Supervisor to join their support team on a full-time basis.
This role is ideal for aspiring teachers who are considering a PGCE or Schools Direct pathway and would like to gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience in a supportive and well-organised school setting.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the classroom in the absence of the teacher, ensuring learning continues smoothly and behaviour remains positive.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

Maintaining a calm, safe, and focused learning environment

Supporting students to remain on task and engaged

Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student behaviour

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:

A degree-level qualification (preferred) or strong A-levels
-
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, volunteering)

Confidence, resilience, and a calm classroom presence

The right to work in the UK

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
