Protocol Education are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a Secondary School in the Tyne and Wear area. We are looking for applicants who are confident communicating with children, can think on their feet and reshape and adjust to situations well.

You must be available a minimum of 3 days a week (part-time, in term time only) and you must live in the Tyne and wear area in the United Kingdom. 

Many of our previous graduate cover supervisors have gone onto a successful career in teaching or furthered their studies in educational or forensic psychology and this has given them a key opportunity for paid experience.

The role:

  • Cover classes in the abscence of the teacher with pre-planned work.
  • You will be expected to accompany and support children in all their lessons, including English and Maths.
  • Ensure safeguarding is met at all times
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy is required, but in-depth subject knowledge in any area is not essential. We are looking for personality and transferable skills.

You must:

  • Live in/around Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS/be willing to obtain one
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold a university degree
