If you enjoy working with young people, or you’re thinking about a future in teaching and want to build classroom experience first, this flexible role could be a great fit.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll cover lessons when teachers are absent, following pre-set plans and creating a calm, focused classroom. You’ll be there to keep things running smoothly, support pupils to stay on task, and build positive relationships across the school.

Everything is prepared in advance. You bring the confidence, consistency, and good judgement to guide the class through the day.

• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils, including those with additional needs
• Delivering ready-made lesson plans clearly and confidently

What we’re looking for
• Right to work in the UK, passport or BRP with share code
• Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad
• Experience working with young people, in schools, youth work, coaching or similar
• Clear communication and strong classroom presence
• A calm, professional approach

Bonus, but not essential
• Training or qualifications in education or child development

What you’ll get with Protocol Education
• Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies
• Free access to our CPD Academy to build your skills
• A dedicated consultant who knows the local schools
• Opportunities across a range of Telford secondary settings
• Clear pathways into long-term roles and progression

All lessons and resources are ready, so you can focus on making a real difference in the classroom. Reliable travel around Telford is essential.
