We’re working with secondary schools across Telford who are looking for adaptable Cover Supervisors to step in and keep learning on track when teachers are away.
This is a great fit if you enjoy working with young people, thrive on variety, and want to make a difference, without the extra workload of planning and marking.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the calm, steady presence that keeps classrooms running smoothly. That means:

Supervising KS3 and KS4 classes when teachers are absent

Delivering pre-prepared lessons (no marking required)

Managing behaviour with confidence and consistency
-
Encouraging students to stay focused and engaged, including those with additional needs

Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
What we’re looking for

The right to work in the UK (British Passport or BRP + Share Code)

An Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
-
Experience working with young people, ideally in schools
-
A confident, supportive presence in the classroom

Flexibility, reliability, and a sense of humour

You’ll need to be able to travel to schools across Telford, either by car or reliable public transport. All lesson resources are provided, aligned with the National Curriculum, so you can focus on supporting students and making the role your own.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
