 Cover Supervisor – North Tyneside Secondary Schools

£110–£130 per day | Flexible & long-term roles | Immediate starts

We’re looking for Cover Supervisors to work across North Tyneside’s secondary schools, supporting lessons, keeping students engaged, and helping classrooms run smoothly when teachers are away.

It’s a great role if you’re thinking about a future in teaching or just love working with young people and want to make a difference — without the marking and planning!

The role:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage the classroom in the teacher’s absence

  • Keep students on task and make sure learning continues

  • Build positive relationships and bring calm confidence to every class

  • Support a range of subjects and year groups — no two days are the same

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, or similar)

  • Are confident communicators with good behaviour management skills

  • Are flexible, reliable, and proactive

  • Hold a degree or relevant experience in education
