We’re looking for Cover Supervisors to work across North Tyneside’s secondary schools, supporting lessons, keeping students engaged, and helping classrooms run smoothly when teachers are away.
It’s a great role if you’re thinking about a future in teaching or just love working with young people and want to make a difference — without the marking and planning!
The role:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage the classroom in the teacher’s absence

Keep students on task and make sure learning continues

Build positive relationships and bring calm confidence to every class

Support a range of subjects and year groups — no two days are the same
We’re looking for people who:

Have experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, or similar)

Are confident communicators with good behaviour management skills

Are flexible, reliable, and proactive
-
Hold a degree or relevant experience in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
