The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you are the "teacher in charge" when the regular class teacher is absent. You won't need to plan lessons or mark homework—your focus is on delivery and management.

• Supervise: deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects (from Maths to PE to History).

• Manage: Use the school’s behaviour policy to ensure a calm and focused learning environment.

• Engage: Answer student questions and keep them on task.

• Report: Provide feedback to the regular teacher on how the lesson went.

The Ideal Profile

We are looking for confidence, resilience, and charisma.

• Education: A University Degree (any subject) is highly desirable.

• Experience: Previous experience working with young people (e.g., as a tutor, sports coach, youth worker, or drama workshop leader).

• Personality: You must have a strong presence and the ability to command a room of 30 students.

• Ambition: Ideal for those looking to apply for a PGCE or Teacher Training in the future.
