An exciting opportunity has arisen for any aspiring teacher to join Protocol Education’s team of cover supervisors.

As a cover supervisor you will work in schools across Sunderland and South Tyneside. Work will be available on a full time and part time basis (Minimum 3 days).

The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the teacher. You will manage the class and be responsible for reporting any safeguarding issues that may occur.  

About this role:

 • Working with secondary pupils aged 11-16

 • Providing 1:1 support to children or in small groups

 • Supervising pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence • Full time, flexible around your current commitments

• Discounted and Free CPD training Candidate requirements

 • No formal teaching qualifications required

• Be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week

Working as a  cover supervisor is fantastic experience for anyone interested in a career in teaching. Many of the Initial Teacher Training providers ask that you have previous experience working with children and in a school setting. By  joining our cover supervisor team you will gain this vital experience in a variety of different settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
