The role
A well-established secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Cover Supervisor to deliver pre-set lessons across KS3–KS5. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain further classroom experience within a structured and supportive environment.
You will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain engaged, complete the work set, and follow the school’s behaviour policies consistently.

Key responsibilities

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects

The ideal candidate

Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, tutoring, etc.)

Confident leading a classroom independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
