We’re working with secondary schools across Telford and are looking for confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to step in when teachers are absent and keep learning on track.

This is a flexible, classroom-based role that suits anyone thinking about a future in teaching, returning to education, or wanting valuable school experience without the pressure of lesson planning or marking.

The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll lead lessons using pre-prepared work, maintain a calm and focused classroom, and help pupils stay engaged throughout the day. Everything is set up for you, you bring the confidence, consistency, and good judgement to guide the class.

What you’ll be doing
• Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils, including those with additional needs
• Delivering ready-made lesson plans clearly and confidently

What we’re looking for
• Right to work in the UK, passport or BRP with share code
• Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad
• Experience working with young people, this could be in schools, youth work, coaching, or similar settings
• Clear communication and a confident classroom presence
• A calm, professional approach

Nice to have, but not essential
• Training or qualifications in education or child development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
