The environment is modern, inclusive, and built for learning, with excellent facilities and strong pastoral systems that help students feel safe, supported, and ready to engage.

This is a full-time role, five days a week, ideal if you’re looking for consistency, routine, and the chance to really get to know a school community.

The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, keeping learning on track and students focused. Lessons are planned and resources are ready to go, so your role is all about confidence, calm leadership, and good judgement.

You’ll be working across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in a school that places real value on inclusion, literacy, and strong relationships. You won’t be left to wing it. There’s clear behaviour policy, experienced pastoral support, and a culture where staff work together.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

  • Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment

  • Managing behaviour in line with school expectations

  • Supporting pupils to stay engaged, including those with additional needs

  • Acting as a positive, consistent adult presence in the classroom

What we’re looking for

  • Right to work in the UK, passport or BRP with share code

  • An Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad

  • Experience working with young people, schools, youth work, coaching, or similar

  • Clear communication and a confident classroom presence

  • A calm, professional approach and the ability to think on your feet

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Training or qualifications in education or child development

What you’ll get with Protocol Education

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies

  • Free access to our CPD Academy

  • A dedicated local consultant who knows the schools

  • Full-time work in a well-run secondary setting

  • Clear routes into long-term roles and progression

All lessons and resources are provided, so you can focus on what matters, supporting students and keeping learning moving. Reliable travel around Telford is essential.
