We’re working with secondary schools across Telford and are recruiting confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to step in when teachers are absent and keep lessons running smoothly.
This is a flexible role, ideal if you’re considering a future in teaching, returning to education, or want hands-on classroom experience without the pressure of planning or marking.
The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver pre-set lesson plans, maintain a calm and focused learning environment, and support pupils to stay on task. Everything is prepared in advance, you bring the confidence, consistency, and good judgement to guide the class through the day.
What you’ll be doing

Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Managing behaviour in line with school policies

Supporting pupils, including those with additional needs

Delivering ready-made lesson plans clearly and confidently
What we’re looking for

Right to work in the UK, passport or BRP with share code

Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad

Experience working with young people, schools, youth work, coaching, or similar settings

Clear communication and a strong classroom presence

A calm, professional approach
Nice to have, but not essential

Training or qualifications in education or child development
