Job Duties:

  • Supervising the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Managing student behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities
  • Providing support to students with their learning
  • Reporting back to the regular teacher on the day's activities

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications is required.

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young people is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional relevant training or certifications

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours
  • Working within a school environment
  • Potential for occasional travel to different school locations
  • Interacting with students, teachers, and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
