The Role

You will be teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The department follows a robust curriculum including Python, Java, and data representation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons: Teaching GCSE and A-Level Computer Science to mixed-ability classes.

  • Curriculum Development: Assisting the Head of Department in keeping resources fresh and relevant to the changing tech landscape.

  • Student Progress: Monitoring and assessing student data to ensure target grades are met or exceeded.

  • Extracurriculars: Opportunities to run Code Clubs or Robotics workshops are available for enthusiastic candidates.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who can make complex concepts accessible and exciting.

  • Qualifications: You must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.

  • Experience: Both experienced teachers and ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.

  • Subject Knowledge: Strong knowledge of programming languages (Python is essential) and the UK Computer Science curriculum.

  • Personality: A collaborative team player with excellent classroom management skills.
