We’re working with a secondary school in the Middlesbrough area to recruit a confident and engaging Computer Science Teacher to lead teaching across KS3 and KS4. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys blending technical skills with creative teaching approaches in a supportive, forward-thinking department.
What You’ll Be Teaching

KS3 Computer Science (Years 7–9)

GCSE Computer Science (OCR) for Year 10

Cambridge Nationals in IT (OCR) for Years 10–11
What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering engaging, well-structured Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

Teaching practical programming, including Python project work

Using innovative tools (including augmented reality platforms such as Assemblr) to enhance learning

Assessing progress and providing high-quality feedback

Working collaboratively within a supportive department and contributing new ideas

Have strong knowledge of Python programming and practical project delivery

Are confident teaching OCR GCSE Computer Science and Cambridge Nationals IT

Bring an engaging, approachable teaching style that keeps students motivated

Enjoy trying new ideas and contributing to curriculum development

Hold UK QTS in Secondary Computer Science (or equivalent)
