In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them reach their full potential both academically and personally. Working within educational or care settings, you’ll play a key role in delivering meaningful support and promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised support to individuals with complex needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs.

  • Support the development and delivery of individualised care and learning plans based on assessments and ongoing progress.

  • Assist with specialist educational programmes and engaging activities tailored to individual learning styles.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a joined-up, holistic approach to support.

  • Monitor progress, adapt strategies where needed, and help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence through consistent and compassionate support.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings empathy, commitment, and strong communication skills to everything they do. Ideally, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Special Education, or a related field (minimum Level 3).

  • Additional training in behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, or similar areas (desirable).

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, particularly SEND, ASD, ADHD, or additional needs.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, relevant legislation, and best practice within SEND settings.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting, positive relationships with individuals of all ages.

  • Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the confidence to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
