A Tower Hamlet's Pupil Referral Unit is looking to hire a Youth Worker to work with the most challenging students in the school in both a pastoral and education setting. This is a role that involves working with pupils with challenging behaviour so previous work as a Youth Mentor/Worker is essential.
Graduates with relevant degrees with placement experience are also preferred.
This is a full-time role during term-time with the oppportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
In this setting you are expected to manage children with challenging behaviour including anger, violence, depression etc. You must be resilient and persistent in engaging these children in education. Many of these children have experiened trauma, a candidate with an approachable but firm approach will be best suited to this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
