Classroom Assistant
An Outstanding Primary School in Bristol is looking for an enthusastic and adaptable Classroom Assistant.
This welcoming school has a huge supportive community, all working with a student-centred focus. They have high standards of both learning and resources for all lessons, particularly Maths and English. This includes a fantastic range of facilities to vary both students learning and life skills – keeping them engaged and foster a genuine love of learning.
The role:
- Help with classroom + material preparation, clearing up after lessons and general admin tasks.
- Collaborate with class teacher in supporting students’ progress.
- Establish authentic relationships and trust with students.
- Able to communicate efficiently and professionally between colleagues and students’ parent/carer(s).
- Being a positive role model for student and using school reward system fairly to encourage positive attitudes and behaviours.
- Working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to support with literacy or numeracy skills.
- Supervising groups in lesson time and at playtime.
Role is open to university graduates, individuals wanting to gain experience to support future career opportunities.
