We’re working with a friendly specialist school in Consett, Durham who are looking for a Care Support Worker to support pupils with additional needs, including personal care, emotional wellbeing, and daily routines.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role where your patience, kindness, and consistency will make a real difference.
What the role involves

Supporting pupils with personal care, hygiene, and mobility where required

Providing emotional reassurance and helping pupils feel safe and settled

Supporting behaviour, routines, and transitions throughout the day

Assisting pupils to access learning and activities

Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
-
Creating a calm, respectful, and dignified environment for every pupil
You’d be a great fit if you

Have experience in care, SEND, support work, or a similar role

Are comfortable supporting with personal care needs

Stay calm, compassionate, and respectful at all times

Understand that progress looks different for every child

Want a role where relationships matter just as much as outcomes
School experience is helpful, but we’d also love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in care homes, residential care, youth work, or healthcare.
